Charles Badger's message to his fellow students:

Everybody pat yourself on the back.

I was tremendously pleased with the outcome. If you talk to the press and others--here are the post-events TALKING POINTS:

1) We exceeded expectations--I told Metro Parks on our permit application we expected between 50 and 100. We had over 200!

2) It was a cold day. Look up yesterday's weather forecast it was like 40 some-odd degrees! People turned out IN THE COLD to make their voices heard--a true sign of dedication to the cause.

3) It was all of our DAY OFF. We got out of bed on a day when many of us had nothing to do and showed up to talk about a pressing issue facing our schools, on a day when we didn't even have to go to school.

4) This whole event was planned an executed within the span of a bout four days--in truth the real nuts-and-bolts work happened the day before. In essence, we pulled this whole thing off in just over 48 HOURS!!!

5) 45 minutes after the rally ended people were still out there waving sings and yelling at traffic!

6) Estimates of the number of schools represented--middle and high--are about 10-20, including: Hillsboro, MLK, Hume Fogg, NSA, Overton, J.T Moore, West End, et al.

7) Look at the other news stories of yesterday--there was a massive fire at an apartment complex, some guy was shot in East Nashville, plus the mere fact that it was so cold on APRIL 6th was a news story in and of itself. Despite all this, we still got coverage from all the major networks--2,4, and FOX 17 (5 doesn't count. Since they didn't cover us they're a bunch of losers!) and the Tennessean.

Speaking of which be sure to pick up a Tennessean today and see what they're saying about us. I hope everyone saw the cover last night on T.V. And, finally, does anyone else have photos from the rally yesterday? If so, please email them to me at cbadge@gmail.com I want to post them!

Use the talking points! Remember is we don't do our own spin, others will do it for us.

Again...Thanks, everybody!
